According to a recent Piper Jaffray study, Cost per Lead from your Yellow Pages ad is $1. 18. This is probably just the white pages single line ad. Direct Mail is $9. 94 per lead. This seems low. A more recent study by the CRM Associates of Boulder says that a medium Yellow Pages Display ad delivers 444 calls per year at a cost of $29 per call. A national display ad delivers 979 calls at $15. This study was based on metered calls. Another study says the average display ad generates 705 calls per year. Of all the studies I have been reading on Yellow Pages advertising, the cost per lead is somewhere between $6 and $30. Now I am sure some plumbers would agree that every call can't be considered a lead. So the Price per Lead may be a little higher.
