I shut the idea down pretty quickly, apologising and explaining that this holiday was a dream for my boyfriend and I and we wanted it to be just us. She has been giving me the silent treatment since I said no, which is very unlike her as she messages me nearly hourly during the day. A bit of background, two years ago I was planning to go to Disneyland Paris and had all but booked for three friends and I to go as a celebration for my birthday. Last minute we had to pull out of booking and the trip fell through. My mum and her friend and her friends kids (F22 and M16) booked to go to Disneyland for the same days as we had planned without telling me. Once she found out plans had fell through she told me of her plans. This was claimed to be as a surprise for me but she knows I dont like her friend or her friends kids. My mum didnt offer for me to go with her group and in the end she was in Disneyland on my birthday. So, am I the asshole for saying no to her tagging along for Orlando?
